The quake map was very disturbing – I could not watch it for more than 30 seconds. What a horrible experience for this country.
A concern I have about the after effects from this earthquake is the atomic energy issues. The earthquake is major and with the track record of Japan and earthquakes with tidal waves, nuclear power is not good. With many active nuclear plants and such a slow responce by Japan to help their people, many have now been exposed to dangerous levels of radiation in the air, not incuding could be leaks into the ground and water. These poor people had no way out, even if they survived the earthquake and it’s effects. It appears to me that Japan did not have a plan for such an earthquake, and other countries did not seem to have an answer for this disater either. Now those people who have endured the unstable elements from the earthquake, will need help to endure the eposure from the radiation too. Dear Lord, they need your grace and mercy more than ever now.
