Charles McVety has been on the free speech bandwagon ever since he got booted off religious tv network CTS.
Now he’s holding a by invitation only event at the college his father left him, featuring Dutch politician Geert Wilders. The National Post:
Next week, Mr. Wilders will bring his message to Canada, a country he says faces the same prospects of being Islamicized as his own. On Monday, Mr. Wilders is the marquee speaker at an invitation-only event hosted by the International Free Press Society and the Canada Christian College.
“Geert Wilders has a warning for Canada, and his warning is about a lack of free speech here and the threat of demographic jihad,” said Charles McVety, president of the Canada Christian College. “We’re all for freedom of religion, but when its mission is a hostile takeover, well that’s a different story. Islam is not just a religion, it’s a political and cultural system as well and we know that Christians, Jews and Hindus don’t have the same mandate for a hostile takeover. Here in Canada there is a real, clear and present danger. And we’re not even allowed to say anything about it. That’s what Geert Wilders is going to talk about.”
Wilders will also be a guest of Ezra Levant and The International Free Press Society before heading to a church in Tennessee as a guest of The Tennessee Freedom Coalition to continue the “A Warning to America” tour.
While the tour is being billed as being about free speech and multi-culturalism, the Dutch politician is known world wide for his anti-Islam platform.
If Wilders said about Christianity what he says about Islam, would he be McVety’s guest?
Details of Wilders tour here.
McVety brought Karl Rove to Canada for a religious right summit apocalyptic conference in 2010.

I’ve met some Muslims in Richmond, British Columbia who are rather outspoken.
It seems like that there is a set of rules for them and a set of rules for others.
Such comments as, “You Christians don’t celebrate enough or Ismali Muslim this, that the other thing……” This was said at work to me by a co-worker at a place in Richmond, BC. I did not mention that to the Manager but I though that it was a bit much to talk that way.
If I as a White Skinned Christian said, “You Muslims don’t celebrate enough” what would happen to me?
Another one at where I used to live in Richmond, BC said to me, “We don’t love you if you’re not Muslim, you don’t have anything in your bible about Mohammad”
If I as a White Skinned Christian said, “We don’t love you if you’re not Christian”
What would happen to me?
Another fellow I worked with was very open saying, “I’m Ismali Muslim”
Another I worked with in Vancouver was mentioning to me about the Mosque saying, “It’s just for the Muslims” and he sounded quite shameless about it.
If I as a White Skinned Christian said to him about where I go, “It’s just for the christians” and sounded quite shameless in the same way what would happen to me?
A fellow I worked with in Vancouver who lives in Richmond, who is from Fiji, who is Hindu, mentioned to me, “Do you know what group likes to convert people? It’s the Muslims!”
These seem like subtle hints?
These could be Red Flags?
These could be the dynamics of some kind of undercurrent?
The reality is that there is a set of rules for them and a set of rules for me.
They know it
They know it’s unfair
They don’t care
They play on it to the maximum
Play the system
Play the race and religion card
They say it to me and get away with it
I say it to them and I lose my job
That is the way it is
There is also on KARI 550Am ‘Foundations of Faith’ about how Sharia Law has gone into Europe and is coming to North America
It sounds like political correctness is not and can not do a single thing about it
On KARI550am a person questions Barack Obama about whether he is Christian or Muslim?
This questions leanings and upbringing.
The Muslims wanting to build a Mosque at Ground Zero and what that means?
The station implies it is to do with some sort of victory for Islam
Who caused the 911?
There was a person of Arabic descent in the Vancouver Central Library handing out CDs that 911 was created by the Americans.
So with these kinds of goings on I am wondering what is happening?
I received an e-mail from McVety and I
wonder how he bypassed my spam filter.
McVety also added that now he’s on the
air on CHEX TV Peterborough Sundays
at 1 2 :30 am and Mondays after
David Letterman.
Corus Entertainment and its affiliates
must be had-up for programming.
Why don’t TV stations close down when
they have nothing meaningful to broadcast
like they did in earlier decades?
Hi Torontonian:
Thanks. The registration for the event and the invitation. If McVety pulls any more stunts, CHEX will be receiving a complaint via the CBSC.

Further to my previous post:
I received the e-mail from McVety of May 5 [Thursday]
for an event on May 7. What I wonder is why should
I receive such a message at such a late date? Does McVety
need to fill seats? Why is Wilders visit to Canada Christian
College not listed on the Word.ca pages?
Is everything so last-minute so as to avoid the media
attention? In other words, what underpins the late
notice?
McVety is a bigot and a hypocrite. What he fails to understand about “free speech” is that it’s a two-way street. Apparently McVety feels he has every right to exercise free speech against other religious ideologies, but does not recognize the rights of others to criticize his own brand. To him it’s perfectly within his rights to publicly lead the anti-gay marriage campaign in Canada, and call transsexuals “perverts”, but an atheist campaign calling for evidence for claims like Allah and Christ constitutes “hate speech”. What’s more, he figures all schools should be allowed to distribute bibles to impressionable children, but not Korans, as if Christianity is the default religion for everyone. Sorry McVety, Canada does not have any official State Religion. Allow one belief system to do something, you have to let them all.
I do think our democratic nation is in constant danger of being hijacked by radical fascists of all religious stripes and ideologies, who want to silence the voice of reason and critical thought. Unfortunately it does little good to bring the pertinent message of Geert Wilders to Canada because of the association with flaky McVety.

For a very clear picture of McVety’s prejudices and his danger to Canada’s reputation as a country known for welcoming immigrants and for tolerance, I recommend reading The Armageddon Factor by Marci McDonald. McVety is a nut job and needs to be exposed as such , despite his so-called qualifications. He has created a subversive network of Christians and other extremist acolytes who have gradually infiltrated our government and education. Their access to the inner workings of the present government is unprecedented. This represents the worst side of religion And should be a warning to all Canadians of how fragile is the Nation that generations of immigrants have created and continue to value. If any group of extremists other than the conservative and religious right were mounting a similar attack on our government institutions there would be a massive hew and cry. These instead are enemies within our country and intent on creating a Christian theocracy in Canada, based on a literal interpretation of the Bible and a general disregard for science and fact.
