Australia banned me. Please send money

Boy it costs a lot to be an evangelist. Just ask Todd Bentley.

Earlier today, he sent an “urgent” e-mail asking his friends for financial support.

In February, he plans to go to California and Haiti. What’s central in Todd’s mind is an upcoming trip to Australia, hopefully in June.
We may remember that last week, he was refused entry into Australia, but if at first…

He, or one of his assistants, writes:

….As most of you know, at this time our recent tour to Australia has been Postponed due to a visa application process. We have a great and continued opportunity in Australia. We are thankful for all the cooperating churches and leaders in Australia who are praying for our ministry. We hope to return to Australia as planned this June. We do anticipate a mighty outpouring!…

It would seem that my guess was right. Namely, that Australian immigration has ostensibly decided that he will be “working” on his trip to Australia and needs to apply for permission to work as a preacher temporarily in their country.

The writer adds this a bit further on:

….Our last minute delay in our planned tour to Australia was a huge disappointment of course. It was also a huge financial set back for our ministry. Our immediate expenses just in Airfare and travel was over 10,000. We also lost out on the opportunity to fundraise for our Haiti mission and Ministry. God immediately came through with a huge financial miracle and we are grateful to the Lord for his faithfulness. However we still are in need of some continued support for our Haiti Mission and ministry. The need is still
$ 20,000…...

Some observations.

If Todd had been wise, he would have made inquiries about visas when the idea of going to Australia popped into his mind, thus saving the expenses that he incurred.

I’m not fortunate enough to be able to fly anywhere, but it seems to me that $10,000 is a little high for a loss. Quantas is quoting, at this moment, roundtrip airfares of $938 from Canada to Australia. Perhaps it would even be cheaper from the US. Unless he is taking a team of 10-15 people with him, well, I don’t know.

And surely the airline wouldn’t bill him the full cost of flights he didn’t take. Also, the hotels would surely not bill him the full cost of rooms he never slept in. It is summer down under…

It’s interesting how he phrases the need too. Presumably, he had $10,000 in pocket to possibly cover his stated losses. But I wonder about his priorities. Why is Australia first to be cleared up. Well, as Haiti is a “needier” place, a mission there is easier to ask for money for. Australians seem to have a less urgent need than Haitians do, so it is easier to raise money to help the Haitians.

But the Australians came first in his thinking, when he could have taken that $10,000 and written “Hey we only need $10.000 to go to Haiti as we already have half the amount we need.”

It’s urgent, as there’s only three weeks before Todd plans to go to Haiti.

Why think this way? Well delaying the trip means that this happened: “We also lost out on the opportunity to fundraise for our Haiti mission and [sic] Ministry.”

Or rather, perhaps: Rats, I didn’t get an opportunity to ask Australians for their money? Waaaahhh!

Sad.

The only way a trip to Australia would cost $10K is if he bought a first class ticket, which would be unheard of at this time of year. But then again, when you’re spending this amount of money on airfare, the ticket is often refundable and/or changeable. Oh the entitlement of riding first class…hope his mixed nuts are kept warm for him, along with a glass of champagne.

Correction: “which wouldn’t be unheard of this time of year.”

His own team called him a “pathological liar” . Remember he’s a thief, drunk, adulterer and likes to kick old ladies in the face, because god tells him to?! I hope he NEVER gets a visa to come here. But many here are chasing and promoting the signs and wonders false gospel, and pays heaps for it!

According to what I just read there was a $10.00 registration fee attached to this event to help cover cost. I wonder how many people registered for this event.

If they did not have the money before the event and expected people to help pay for the cost with prior registration, it makes me wonder if they even have some type of budget for unexpected situations.

Don’t forget his entourage. Royalty does not travel without staff.

Next thing you know this phony will be begging for funds so he can buy a private jet or two, like Copeland, DuPlantis, Cerullo, and others in that WOF crowd. The saddest part is how the sheeple continue to support these shysters’ lavish lifestyles and are too foolish to see right through them.

Surprisingly he and Jessa, well Jessa just bought a new house too. I think they paid $260k for it and put it in Jessa’s name. His fundraising must be doing good to not have a real paying job and paying taxes like the rest of us that he can afford such a nice house. Be glad you don’t have to live near him like we do. He is a short fat bald man and unfortunately I have run into him way too many times. Get a real job Todd and Jessa

I emailed Jessa once. I told her I felt bad about her marriage to Todd, that it bothered my conscience. She returned the email with such anger, hostility, bitterness, and arrogance that it startled me. While we all have sin and make such mistakes, it’s my belief that Jessa lives in this kind of arrogance. Jessa and Todd went to Hawaii weeks after Lakeland, and it’s clear they committed adultery. They won’t admit it, to save their ministry. Todd has yet to denounce all his lying visions, lies, greed, manipulation, deception. Both have yet to admit they committed adultery. They bring money into Joyner’s church. Only good thing I have to say is that the worship at Morningstar is great. I love Don Potter. My sister is a minister in this branch of Christianity. She went from being a humble woman of God to a most arrogant minister who shuns, is bitter, and who is “victorious” to the point of trampling on people. She will listen to nothing that is not positive or victorious. I’ve lost a sister, and right now I don’t even think she is a Christian any more. She’s certainly not walking in love or the Spirit.
Todd can have his rich mansion. I won’t fret over it. God is my portion and He’s enough. These blind Christians that enable Todd love it, most of them. They don’t want the truth. Others, they’ll figure it out as they grow in the Word.
