To the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ around the world,
In October of 2008, I, Brenda Klemke, co-founded the ministry of ‘I AM thirsty’ along with Afshin Javid. At the same time I became a board member of the church where he was a Pastor, Vancouver Christian Fellowship (VCF). I AM thirsty became the missions and outreach arm of the VCF. I served as a board member and administrator of both ministries until September 30, 2011 at which time I resigned and we parted ways.
I have been wrong, and I owe you a sincere apology. I am so sorry.
What began for me, as a ministry to reach the world with the message of the Lord Jesus Christ has gone horribly off track. At a place of very deep pain and brokenness in my own life, I was deceived & subsequently lead many others into a cloud of deception so deep and so wide, it has reached around the world.

I received these documents this morning and I have had trouble breathing upon reading them. They came in from 3 separate sources. I’ve been outside walking and seeking God. Brenda Klemke has made an unreserved apology to God’s people, no equivocating, no excuses. Her Spirit-breathed courage goes beyond herself, as does the imprint of the urgency of the love of God and the deepness of His forgiveness. This is documentation of deception, of sin, and a true prophetic clarion call to repentance. Not later. Now.
Afshin Javid and the men who say they are ‘restoring’ him: David Damian and the leadership of Church of Zion in Vancouver has been sounded the clearest, Spirit-breathed warning I have ever seen. I don’t doubt the disclosures put Klemke in danger – but I know that the very Rock which broke her, hides her. There is no other shelter against such evil and ignorance.
Klemke does not give in to anger, there is no rancour, with an administrators skills she lays out events of her time with Vancouver Christian Fellowship and I Am Thirsty Ministries: the terrible wounding of herself, her family, Javid’s family and others by a man who calls himself a prophet, a pastor, a minister. Each event, each wounding documented is preceded or followed with It is written. It is written. It is written.
What Klemke witnessed and speaks to is a long and lurid pattern of deception, of preying on vulnerable people by Afshin Javid. His contempt for women is chilling, his yielding and delight in sin, complete.
I like that God has chosen a woman to speak to such sin. Her compassion is steel, her testimony true. Repentance is not a trifle, restoration is not accomplished at will or at whim.
I don’t think those who have been criminally harmed will go to police. To read the level of evil is to understand their wounding may be too much. Where Javid may face Canadian law may be in thumbing his nose at provincial regulations. The body of Christ has no excuse for making any more excuses. While I do not know if Canadian law will find Javid, I do know it is a terrible thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
I believe if Klemke is not heard, as those before her who have warned the church about Javid have been mocked or dismissed; Javid and those who harbour him will face swift judgement of God. I don’t know what that will look like, but it will be, and is, a fearful thing. I believe time grows short, and while I know the Holy Spirit relentlessly seeks – He will not be mocked – the sowing into the wind by Javid and his handlers, will shortly reap the whirlwind.
The number of pastors who have warned churches and Christians not to permit Javid to minister has been unprecedented. Their warnings and pleading have crossed denominational lines and doctrinal differences. Their wisdom has dismissed, their kindness trampled, their reputations attacked, and their recommendations ignored.
The cries of all the wounded have reached the throne of God.
Brenda Klemke spend her life wanting to serve God. This confession and this prophetic warning is the culmination of years of lostness and detours. This may well be the only time God calls her to be a prophet. She has obeyed and it is enough. To the pastors, writers, and believers who have called out with her against such sin, such selfishness, such bondage and evil; be at peace. “Fear ye not, stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord…” Exodus 14:13. I’ll end with Brenda Klemkes words, spoken not only to Javid, but to those who still harbour and hide him in ‘ministry’:
And God, “rich in mercy, because of His great love” has stepped in for you Afshin. He has exposed the darkness. What you do next is your choice. If and when you have repented Afshin, and your life has been radically transformed, it will be obvious, because you will recognize the rippling effects your sin has caused around the world – the extent of the damage done, & you will publicly confess to these things & bring forth fruit in keeping with repentance. (Fruit trees do not bear fruit over night but over time – long periods of time – of proper Spiritual food and nourishment) You need to be grafted in to the True Vine, Afshin, in order to produce godly fruit. Without this, it is impossible.
Maybe he just chooses the weapon of chaos. You know there are those that give out bad counsel that feeds into those devises.
Perhaps Javid will face the Law & God,sooner than later…aheem

I agree that the police should be brought in to this. Afshin has breached his responsibilities and should be stopped before he offends again. Any one reading this blog who knows of anyone else that has been abused has a responsibilty to others to report it. Many Christains agree that police intervention can be part of an essential and nessary process as can the advice of certain councillors. A Church that brings in a lesbian Pastor has definently strayed from the Truth and wandered from the narrow path. But thats how it is these days, anything goes. Hate the sin not the sinner. Professed Christains in Prison around 1.75% not including people that claim to be Catholic, 35% . It all boils down to if you have the indwelling of the Holy Spirit or not. Still my question for you unbeleivers is what do you base your critera of right and wrong on? Who are you to say that these behaviourisms of Afshins are good or bad or evil. As a Christain i am convicted by God, what convicts you of your sins and what sins are ok that you commit, on a scale of 1 through 10? Please show me a list. You guys sound self rightious, illogical, and appear to have a false sence of self appointment. You choose to set your own barometer of comfortable sin vs uncomfortable sin, lying, stealing taking a sic day off and golfing, overbilling, porn, abuse, taxes, your call. You are the Gods of your universe and everyone around you. You decide or discount who you are hurting. That is why our planet is going down the crapper, again. Self governing does not work and this is the proof, the same outcome the chaos always has, endgame. The fact that we have thousands of animals and fish and fauna that work together in a fragile and magnificent harmony you discount as chance? You consider a mosquito chance? Did they all magically appear at the same time, like a smorgasbord, the time line does not work. Darwin gave a criterria and said if certain assumptions and theories could be disclaimed then it would render his theories void, science has proved many things wrong that Darwin incorrectly surmised. You mention Autism and Parkinsons, these are now partially being attribuited to mercury in fillings and vaccines or environmentally introduced toxins, such as floride, and other heavy metals for starters, as are other psychological/ physical disorders. These are poisons that are willingly man made and whose consequences have caused illness in any and many stages of life. The Bible says that your sins or lack of greatly influence and effect those around you. Your conscience did not evolve out of a dank pond or appear between a fish to mammal moment. You were born with a conscience and perhaps cannot hear it clearly anymore. Humans have almost destroyed this planet and things are winding up just as the Scriptures say, you can deny it all you want but its fact. This planet has again devolved to the point that its hard to even find a safe place to live. Good vs Evil, that is what is going on here.

Thom, I think it is harmful thing to lump me together with the unbelievers. If I can be accused of being an atheist, that is, one who does, without a god, I am an atheist to the evangelical god that is being trashed here by the acts of Javid. If that is what an atheist, I am, and so were the early Christ’s followers. They were all accused to being atheists, since they did not believe that Zeus is real, not a worshiper of Apolos, and Venus and other gods. They worship Chrest, as if he were a god. The evangelical god(s) does nothing to prevent the rape of Javid and the sexual adventurism of Stan. All you sell here is that he is all mighty, but he has chosen not to act. That he has a better will, and that he will be there. I do not believe that. But I do believe in the law.
Now the law we have in this land is Roman and in the tradition of the English common law. If you were French, you had the continental laws. These laws are based on precedence and culture of this land. I would say much of what we have, came from the common experiences of European people, and not simply a Jewish thing. I mean, you do not want to live under the backward, ancient tribal Jewish and Biblical laws anyway. Read them for yourselves. Cherry pick as you go and read them. I have done my home work already, and rejected these ancient backward tribal laws that demanded women as second class citizens, children as properties, and slavery is acceptable, and polygamy. Which of these can you live with, and why does it have to be either biblical laws or the highway. That is a dead end road, check with your town offices and elected officials. They cannot promote or demote a religion, that is the Law. But when biblical laws conflict with modern and civil society, I would throw out the biblical laws first. Why would you want to put queers, cross dressers to death, and stone the adulterous couples when caught in the act. That is insane.
Let me put this one more time, have some common sense, people! JAvid should be apprehended by the civil authorities and put away, and his organization should be shut down, if that accusers are true about the rape and the dehumanization of vulnerable women. That has nothing to do with God. I would venture to say to the believers of this god, cry louder, maybe he is asleep, or he is on a journey, make a loud cry and noise, and see whether you can arouse him. If this god is god let the fire consume those who f**k in his name and I would believe in this, until then, I would say to those of you who simply abdicated your role as a self-respecting, responsible and honourable people. Leave god out of this, and do right. If that is justice, that is God. For when you are in truth, you come closer to God, and “Ye are God.”

But, when it comes to science, you will have to demonstrate rigorous testing and evidence. What is mentioned here is pseudo-science, and again, no one in our community believes that, neither the latest findings in medical journals. Autism is a genetic disease, it has nothing to do with a free will. Check ‘Medline’ if you need to, that is our bible, our god.

One thing shown here is that the scripture can be selected to support just about any argument… or some translating discrepancy can be called upon to prove a point (murder isn’t killing or something).
In my Baptist training and 4 years at PBI (graduating) I was often taught that the Pope is, or represents, the antichrist – were you trained this way? The following was never mentioned:
In 325 a.d. the Council of Nicea was called to unite the quibbling factions of Christians. At this point there was no “Bible” – just a bunch of manuscripts and oral tradition, mostly pre-Christian. The result of this month-long caucus was the single-page document called The Nicene Creed, which spelled out basic Christian doctrine/dogma – roughly 300 years after the time of Christ. You can look up any of this.
The Vatican then took 57 years to hammer out the “inspired Word of God.” In 382 a.d., at the Council of Rome, Pope St. Damasus I issued his Papal Decree, dictating 73 books that were to be included in the sacred canon. Do you think there were no politically motivated factors in the choices of these particular scriptures? Even if there was no meddling around with the content………
Over a millenium later, Martin Luther questioned the “authenticity” of 7 of the 73 books, and in the 19th century those 7 were officially excised from the Protestant Bible, leaving the 66 that Protestants revere today.
If one combines these three factors: the FACT of the papal decree in 382 a.d.; the BELIEF that the Pope is or represents the antichrist; and the BELIEF in the infallibility of the 66 books of the Bible, 2+2=4 and the Bible was determined by the antichrist.
Having said, I’ll yield to the temptation to include the scriptures that became part of my path along the way: II Cor. 3:6 – “The letter killeth but the spirit giveth life.” From the beautiful chapters – John 14-17 (14:26) – “But the Comforter…shall teach you all things…” Will you disagree that the Comforter is indwelling? What a comfort it was to realize this is not a Condemner but a Comforter… Who else could bring forth the fruits of the Spirit – love, joy, peace, kindness…
Then there’s the choice between these two scriptures: “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; who can know it?” Jere. 17:9, and “Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it are the issues of life.” Prov. 4:23.
Many choices, many labels, many beliefs. I prefer the Comforter and it’s made all the difference.

Many cases of autism are being connected to mercury poisoning and heavy metals, much unbiast documented research. People test for mercury in system, fillings removed mercury gone.
Dental amalgan fillings are the largest source of mercury poisoning ( 26% content IMERC fact sheet ) and has clinically shown to double the incidence of Parkinsons. Toxic exposures and Parkinsons by (Benard Windham ED Chemical Engineer Biostatistican) this is why it was removed from paint and other products re a Federal legislation via FDA. The FDA was concerned about the danger in products not intended to be put in the body.. Also other heavy metals and other man made poisons are guilty of much sickness. The fish in our oceans are full of mercury, sashimi anyone…What i am saying is that if it is a genetic issue and or environmentally introduced it is still a potentially deadly bi- product of man somewhere down the line, kinda like the fall in the garden. Lots of money in amalgan at one time i imagine, only 5 dealers. Willfull actions=consequences. I still would like to see your list of sins, ok sins, sometime sins, grey sins and unacceptable sins. When I was at Glad Tidings, I was taught the Rapture, the in-dwelling of the holy ghost, and the behind theory, plus the immediacy of the second coming of Christ.
Then I was taught the inerrancy theory, the so-called plenary verbal inspiration of the Bible at the Bible 30 class. I was an avid reader of Francis Schaeffer, read almost all his writings. He taught and taunts the atheists that they cannot have better morals than Christians. I will fact check him, first in the book “Crazies for God” Franky his son recounts one incident when his father Francius SDchaeffer frowned on Franky for having pre-marital sex with Jenny his girl friend. His mother came to his aid, and said to Francis that they did the same, that ‘shut him up.’ Matter of fact, at L’Abri, there was sex dripping through the pages while Francis pretended that it was holy and wholesome. It was not. Franky had intercourse the first moment he laid eye on the young Catholic Jenny, and had sex almost every day till she was pregnant. Now tell me was Christians any better moral-wise? You do your own math. Sexual attitude is a cultural matter, and leave it at that. We no longer put homosexuals to death, and that is the fact. But Javid raping innocent girls, that is criminal, not just sinful. Criminal meant he needs to face the courts and justices. Sinful meant when he is incarcerated, he will pray to his god and seek his forgiveness.
Christians are no better, let me say, than atheists and regular folks. They think they held a moral high ground, then why are we all here condemning Javid? Fact is, Javid has much more sex drive than you or I. I have been married with the same wife and that is it. Javid has many young girls and I assume he keeps on doing it. If you fault the atheists for not moral, try to look at what you are doing, in fact, you are an atheist when you commit a sin against your god, your action denied his existence and as an idol, this god is powerless to do anything to stop you. Try this logic.

I agree that Afshin Javid should be charged, no doubt about it.
I think that Malissa his wife should also be held accountable.
Regardless if there is or isnt a Rapture it shouldnt really matter.
Lets say at one time you got drunk and crashed a car or got a DI and down the road your wife or kid or friend got drunk and wanted the keys, would you not try to stop them.
His wife correcting him and probably humiliating him was a consequence of his actions as is you recounting it here.
Its all about the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth. My moral bar shifted like yours and still trys, i get it, the Holy Spirit puts the brakes on that sliding scale.
Temptation is strong, i still do things i regret but am strongly convicted.
I am thankful for Gods correction although i often wrestle with it, he does not let go, a death grip for life.
Left to my own means i would just continue to contribute to this planets deadly down hill slide.

This journey is not just about us in the now, you steer your family and friends and help chart their course, a huge responsibility with eternal consciences.

Thom: try this thought. I know what and where you get your theology. I was once a fervent believer. But the reality in the world helps me to steer away from this type of thinking.
So try this idea. You mentioned that you were no better than others without Christ. Basically people either are good and bad. That is all. There are good Christians and bad Christians. The are all Christians by profession and Christian religious practice. What does that tell you? People are fine with or without religion (and yes, that means your intimate relationship with god). I have seen this time and time again, as I said to a friend one time, some people preferred their steak medium-cooked, others rare, and some well done. In our case here, some prefer Christianity this way (holy rollers), others fundamentalists (PBI/BJU), some prefer Union Theological Seminary/Harvard Divinity School. They are all Christians, and they are not in anyway affecting their own sexual ethics and behaviour. In my humble opinion, everyone is the same as they were raised, and religious faith cannot change that. In the end, what they are, despite their claim of moral superiority, they are just the same old persons. Perhaps that is how God made all of us. And that God is in us. Think about this……..Javid has just as much sexual temptation before his conversion, and his behaviour is the same after the conversion to his Christian faith. He is not an unbeliever or a muslim. Javid is a Christian and his taste for more women is the same with or without his faith. This is the fact, despite your claim of moral superiority with your faith in a dead bible, that will not change your behaviour. Javid will still go out, either visit the porn shop, find a prostitute (I guess), or a willing subject to have an affair. I think it has nothing with the reality of his sexual addiction. His faith as a simple delusion or metaphysical construct cannot help him. That is the truth here. That is why I said before, where is the evangelical god of Javid, and for that matter, of dew, brano and Thom? Please show up and I will bow down and worship it. Amen.

Afshin professes to be Christian, his actions and denial of accountability to his previous Church leaders suggests other wise, he just moved on to another Church. So far Afshin has been a wolf amongst the sheep, or prowling like a lion destroying.
The fruit of Afshin has been bad and very rebellious.
I’m not saying that we are born evil, i’m saying that we have choices and paths, mans greedy nature has influenced many, the fruit of the spirit of this world is destructive, just look at whats going on. Its a war we are in, and always will be man left to his own means.
If you knew my back ground you would not expect me to be where i am today, on the day i was saved( of which i knew nothing about) i was healed of certain chemical bad habits.
People i knew my whole life said i changed that day? I felt 20 feet tall for 2 weeks and had a sense of peace i had never known, i had started smoking and drinking when i was in grade 5 and things proceeded to get way worse into my 20s, much debauchery.
I did not grow up in this/a Christain environment and knew nothing about it.
I appeal to the Christians out there to pray for you as you have given the Lord authority to show up and reveal himself. If you are serious that is a powerful statement and the Lord is faithful.
From where I’m sitting, it seems like T.L.B.Chung wants Thom to have the sense of reality and freedom he’s discovered since leaving the fold.
Meanwhile, Thom wants T.L.B.Chung to have the sense of peace and security he found while entering the fold.
At the heart of it, it comes across as a caring exchange originating from – dare I say – love? Otherwise, why would these two intelligent men, each with their separate life experiences, care about the other’s state of mind?

Having said as much as I have on this thread, I haven’t yet commented on the original article.
While I know that Brenda is not seeking admiration for herself, I have the utmost admiration for her, for speaking out, naming the offender(s) and the offences, and providing scripture validation from the source which remains her mainstay, and which is acknowledged by the group to which she belonged.
If more victims were able to speak out in similar ways, it is most likely that the number of offences would drop commensurately. However, this is not the fault of the victims, who are singled out by offenders for their very vulnerability, their lack of assertiveness and maturity, which they haven’t had time to grow into. Thankfully, when Brenda was so singled out, the offender made a significant miscalculation. Many times victims do speak out, to be quieted by authoritative bodies. Brenda, you trusted someone who manipulated you at times of weakness, i don’t beleive that falls under immature. You were trusting of someone who should of been trustworthy. Is a child that is abused by someone they trust immature? Afshin has duped the best of them, i have seen him con credible respected men in the Church and outside of it. Kind of like a Bernie Madoff, who deceived some of the most respected, educated, and accomplished people on the planet. Hitler deceived a country, satan is known as the great deceiver and his handy work can be spotted by his rotten works and their rotten fruit.

I share the same heritage of faith with you, and same school (Prairie High School) and having been a firm believer in the Charismatic movement, I think I can add a word or two here. It is said in the ancient Chinese that medicine that works, is bitter to the taste.
Your faith in this modern contemporary Christian faith is really on shaky ground, that is, your faith in the supernatural and direct intervention by god and his christ. Why would I attack a fellow alum for the faith that I once held myself? It is because this faith is toxic and if left unexamined is damaging to you and many others. I also suspect that this toxic mix of koolaid is what is responsible for the sexual molestation by Javid and the sexual adventurism of Stan your husband. It supernaturally gives an answer to various bad behaviour and would have the hearers believe that ‘God’ is in charge, despite all that. That he would come to the rescue of those sexually abused. I no longer see this type of supernatural answers sufficient. I have taken a natural explanation to these events and try to warn others to stay away this faith-based answer to our everyday problem.
Similarly, the early Christians were mostly low class, ill-educated and illiterate folks. This is most evident by the sacred scriptures they produced and the complaint of their contemporary Celsus. This duplicity is so obvious that he wrote a book against this type of duping of the low class. Origen, some 70 years later had a rebuttal, quoting it directly and attesting to the facts that these uneducated folks were being duped in his days and that at the closer examination, these folks told their children and adherers to stay away from the logical examination of their faith. It is true that when closerly examine people like Javid or Faytene, or any of these supernatural folks, much of what they claim is false. And god has not come or healed any of these folks in need. Stan, I suspect still harbours sexual addiction and Benny Hinn has still possible romantic contact with Paula White, and others such as Javid still has hidden adulterous relationship with many others.
I have said many times, and will do so again that Brenda, your faith in a faith-based answer is unfounded, and delusional. You have obviously not paid enough attention here. Every person I named here claims a closer relationship with god and has been able perform the miraculous ‘healing’ but in reality, I challenge you with the sacred words of the Jesus, “Healer, heal thyself.”
I would urge you to drop your apparent faith in the supernaturalism in an attempt to find a better answer to your present problem. God in your own faith is a make belief, and he as an idol is powerless to do what you want. You can, however, take action by seeking proper medical and psychological help, and most of all, protect yourself from wolves like Javid. In fact, the wolf named here, is Christian and that is the logical outcome of having faith in a supernatural god that speaks today. These are for the uneducated masses who seek an overtly simplistic answer much like the early christians. Instead of working hard, achieve a good education, and have some self respect, they want an immediate and supernatural answer to all their problems. I think this is idolatry at best, you are best to shake off this idolatry and work on the problems at hand.
Good luck, for some, this answer is the stench of death, but for many others, the fragrance of life has just begun. I harbour no ill to your own theological construct. This construct is sophisticated until it is crushed by finding out that it cannot stand the reality of a evolutionary-based life in this harsh climate. Some men just have the alpha male syndrome and they will continue their sexual adventurism until they have passed their prime for reproduction, even then, they should be watched, and isolated for their own good, and as the scriptures taught, for the good of others, Amen.
