Brittany Koper, granddaughter of Paul and Jan Crouch, the founders of Trinity Broadcasting System, recently did an interview with Jackie Alnor of Apostasy Alert, on Rapture Ready Radio.
Orange County Register staffer Terri Sforza has been all over this ongoing legal back and forth which went public in February.
Koper had served as chief financial officer, director of finance, corporate treasurer and director of human resources for Trinity Christian Center of Santa Ana, which does business as Trinity Broadcasting Network (TBN), according to the suit. Koper’s complaint is not directed against her grandparents or TBN — but against the two attorneys who handle some TNB legal work, and who once worked for Koper herself. She accuses them of professional negligence, breach of fiduciary duty and other transgressions in the suit.

Admittedly, I thought this “interview” came across as a somewhat cheesy and gossipy. I think Ms Koper still has some growing up to do. And, Alnor’s journalistic style is rather tabloid.
It is one thing to talk about the issues regarding financial accountability at TBN regarding how their donations are used. It’s another to focus on the personal details of your family members lives.
I know in this muckraking society, the juicy details are what sell, but still this interview gained me no respect for Alnor or Koper.
If the Crouch folks were simply rednecks from the South, that is fine. But they occupied a seat in the broadcasting business and they live an all American affluent life style. Now where is god? Where is this god of prosperity, and anointing? I am beginning to see the lack of its presence is either he has abdicated his godly responsibility, or he is on the road, or asleep, or defecating in the rest rooms. You have all to shout louder, and pray harder and lash your own backs with belts, and jump up and down until there is blood on your own flesh. Maybe and maybe there, your god will answer. I am simply going to look to IRS and US governments for doing what they were elected to do, to protect Americans from this TBN.

this whole sorry spectacle of aging tbn makes me think of the first weekend sales of “rock of ages”. who is interested in warmed over ’80′s anything? who remembers apple ii’s; 1983 mercedes slcs? 80′s subdivisions. i remember being in my prime and thinking “forever young.” now, so quickly it seems, past prime and out-of-date with the iphone generation. so goes tbn–all part of the 80′s generation and its ways and styles. pls just go away silently and with a little self-respect. but, mr. paul saggy jowls crouch will likely hang on as long as his presence adds to the tbn’s bottom line. like aging rockers who still need an income. and matt crouch is not an iphoner either, so the network is really out-of-touch and embarrassing.

Koper, however, speaks the truth and TBN did transgress human IRS codes and someone should go to jail. Lord, the God who allowed the Crouch’s to run this scam is alive and well. He allows preachers to tickle ears, and He uses these con artists to separate sheep from goats. Paul and Jan probably started out on the right foot, but the money and power got to them. They aren’t serving Jesus really, they are just thinking they are, really. Somewhere along the way they lost the focus of righteousness and greed took over. 90 percent of the ministers on their network are con artists too, using a perverted gospel to enrich themselves. Thing is, the people of let them keep conning because they don’t really know the Word either. If they did, they’d rebuke and turn away from this wicked network. But many refuse to get in the Word and really know the true God and His true gospel. I only figured out the truth by reading 2 Corinthians over and over again. Interesting, I’m here near Corinth right now. Thank God for that epistle. It woke me up. As it did, the Lord told me to stop attending Charismatic churches. I obeyed. Paul and Jan Crouch are being exposed here. I found the interview interesting and revealing. The American gospel is not the truth of God.

It amazes me how people justify sinful behavior. Praise the Lord that Brittany is standing up for truth. May she get out of the health and wealth gospel and go to the arms of Jesus and find healing.
If what she says is true about Matt Crouch, then he is a great actor because he usually looked like the most sane one on tv. Who’d of thunk it?

Such JUDGEMENT and evil being said against TBN and the Crouches! Are we all so perfect! I have been so blessed by TBN. Paul and Jan have given their lives to bless the whole world. JAN HAS DECORATED THE SET LIKE A CASTLE FOR KINGS (NOT LIKE AS DESCRIBED BY THE INTERVIEWER). Is the glass half empty or half full? This SETTING is not a livingroom but is representational of God’s kingdom.
This “honesty” or richeousness of Brittany came because of losing her job. The Crouches blessed her with a hugh position she would probably not have gotten otherwise. I miss Paul Jr. and he is loved. Fast promotion produces pride, to expose and hurt and destroy in bitterness those responsible for her loss (Retaliation). Maybe there was a reason for the terminations? Maybe it could have been worked out privately with corrections AND NOT SMEARED ALL OVER?? Jesus says Love even your enemy. THIS IS A TERRIBLE DISGRACE!
This sounds like a hurt child (so she didn’t get a Bible!) in an argument looking to unload and destroy because she is hurt and feels rejected hoping to be welcomed back after saying smearing in LOVE, her relatives. People are starving and really hurting and losing homes and have really suffered so what is THIS GOSSIP ABOUT HAIR, EYELASHES, CLOTHES, SEX, LES, ETC? People are not perfect and Christianity is about the GRACE of God and forgiveness and correcting our faults. I remember the testimony of a born again policeman ON TBN, that had his wife (on drugs) in his car and he took her to rehab instead of jail… and she was restored and they were back together serving God. God is alive and will punish those that do evil and REFUSE TO REPENT (change their ways) AND DO EVIL TO ONE ANOTHER BREAKING THE SECOND COMMANDMANT.
This is a terrible thing to do, to air laundry and disgrace family (and claim you love them). Love does not do this. JESUS SAID LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU. I LOVE JAN AND PAUL AND MATT AND LAURIE AND ALL THE TBN FAMILY.

I wonder if Ms. Crouch has ever read the above passage and compared it to her own wardrobe.
A Christian lady is NOT supposed to dress in a way that draws attention to self, much less waste 2 hours doing so. She is instructed to wear modest clothes (avoiding expensive or showy, Vegas-like sequined outfits), a modest hairstyle (meaning no outrageous pink wigs) and modest or minimal makeup if any (therefore ‘raccoon eyes’ and ‘drag queen eyelashes’ would be a no no.).

If you visit Prophetic News. Com, Susan Puzio has some excellent blog talk radio shows on TBN and the whole seed faith heresy in general (she covers the whole TBN fiasco from several different perspectives). She has a most interesting take on things given she herself used to be a preacher (has done extensive tv and radio work). She brings up some excellent points and I will sumarize a few below as well as add on a few of my own comments:
It doesn’t cost millions to conduct overseas crusades. All you need is a rented field and loud speaker. You can stay at motel 6 and fly economy.
The reason such crusades cost tv evangelists millions, is because they’re flying on private jets, staying in luxurious hotels, dining in the most expensive restuarants and travelling with an entourage of staff (bodyguards, personal assistants, pilots, etc–all of whom need to be paid).
Anyone can preach the Gospel for FREE on You Tube or Blog Talk radio, as well as at your local nursing home, prison, hospital or in the great outdoors, on any street corner (either preaching or handing out tracts). This costs nothing more than your time or a simple internet connection, so it’s a lie for anyone to say that preaching the Gospel is expensive. No it isn’t. As long as you have a Bible, a brain and a mouth….you can preach.
Remember that the bigger the mega ministry, the more staff that need to be hired and paid, so bigger does not necessarily mean better. It means higher overhead. A smaller building means less overhead but unfortunately, less street appeal and less cushy seating (ironic that the smallest places seem to have the best preaching).
There is no such thing as a ‘financial anointing’ or ‘divine wealth transfer.’ These are made up terms. They do not exist and God does not need your money in order to bless you with a physical or financial miracle. He will do it for FREE.
God also does not tell someone else (like a tv preacher) how much you should donate. Anyone that puts pressure on you to give, much less the audacity to state exactly how much (such as $1000. or more), is not hearing from God !
If the 100 fold blessing truly worked, then why aren’t those tv evangelists practicing it in their own lives and ministries ? Why aren’t they selling off their own mansions, jets, yachts, bentleys, jewels and designer duds in exchange for a 100 fold increase ? Ask them to name even 5 people in their own congregation who have received a 100 fold increase in income, as a direct result of donating to their church—especially those on fixed incomes (winning the lottery doesn’t count because gambling is a sin).
If this ‘financial anointing’ truly worked, then it should also work as much as if you give it somewhere else (such as to another ministry or charity), yet they seem to imply it will only work if you send your money to them (red flag !) and by credit card of course, so they will obtain it instantly (in case you change your mind, by the time you sit down to write a check and walk it to the nearest mailbox, only to discover that you’re out of stamps or envelopes or there’s a postal strike looming on the horizon).
If you want to be blessed by God, here are some ideas: Instead of sending money to a prosperity preacher, go to the poorest section of town (such as low income housing projects) and offer to pay someone’s utility bill that month or hand them an envelope with some cash for groceries but do it discreetly, away from others, so as not to embarass them.
How much to give ? That’s up to you. Whatever God leads and whatever you can spare. Or save up little by little each week and when you have a bundle, bless someone big that day but in a quiet, modest way that doesn’t sound the trumpet in the synagogue. ‘Don’t let your left hand know what your right hand is doing.’ Do it as quietly and anonymously as possible and God will bless you for it in countless ways (not necessarily financial though).
Each week when you shop for groceries, buy something extra (a bag of rice, pasta, oatmeal, beans, lentils, soup….whatever….. it doesn’t have to be pricy either) and place it in the food hamper before you leave, which is often located right in the grocery store itself. Even low income people can do that much (1 can of soup or beans–less than a dollar). If everyone did that each time they shopped for groceries, we’d have more than enough to feed everyone in our own cities.
The Bible says that when you help the poor, it’s the same as if you’re doing it for Jesus and everyone can at least put 1 item of food in the grocery store hamper each week or at least once a month.
If these mega ministries sold off all their riches and gave it to the poor (like Jesus commanded), it would fund their own air time and crusades and they wouldn’t need to beg for anymore money but of course that would make too much sense.
None of this interview with the granddaugher surprised me. It would have shocked me more to learn they were living in a shack, by the side of a dirt road, driving a junkyard car and living on rice and beans, inspite of their lavish tv sets and endless beg-a-thons, so the lesson here is that if it looks like, sounds like and talks like….it is !
Jackie V I agree with you 100% that the Crouches and every other rich worldly televangelist pastor man of god out there is not in accordance with the teachings and example of Jesus. You have cited some excellent passages of scripture to support your case. Truly these people are scumbags, taking advantage of the gullible, desperate and greedy alike.
However, I must ask you this. What is the difference between a self acclaimed Christian like Ms.Crouch who uses the word of god to her advantage and a self acclaimed Christian who only acknowledges and follows ‘some’ of the teachings of Christ and ignores others while still claiming to be his disciple who has a room in the big mansion waiting for him some day? Are these two not both in error? Will they not both find that at the end of the day, their talents will be taken away and left in outer darkness?
For example, Jesus instructed his followers to sell or give away all of their possessions and give to the poor. He told his followers, in fact, not to save up because God would provide for their day to day needs. How many Christians do you know of that actually live this way? Yet Jesus said that if you love him, you’ll obey his commands. Does that not make these just as guilty of not doing what Jesus commanded his followers to do, as the Crouches? According to Jesus, not only must the Crouches sell off their mega ministry and give the proceeds to the poor, but so should every Christian sell off their possessions.
It seems to me that Christians completely ignore or say that the life and simple teachings of Jesus are symbolic, unless they are able to do it in their own strength and resources; ie. giving to the poor, praying, reading the word, etc. But then they go and conveniently pull out scripture literally when it supports their own prejudices; ie. gay marriage, rich pastors, abortion, etc. Apparently Christians don’t seem to get the one verse that states that “ALL Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness.” Not some, ALL.
Small gate. Narrow road. No shit.
My conclusion is that there are no true Christians. Jesus was very clear on what you should do if you say you want to follow him, but no one does it. If he is the way the truth and the life, then do what he said. Christians are lying to themselves. How can they look themselves in the mirror and say they are honest when in fact they are hypocrites. That puts everyone, the Crouches, Faytene, Billy Graham, the pope and everyone warming a pew or blogging right now, in the same boat – pretenders. Some are just more devious and opportunistic than others.
And believe me Jackie V, people are waking up out of the spell this religion has put people under for so long. Christian people, for all their proclaiming, really are not very “Christ-like” at all and are being taken to task now more than ever.
And I ask the question about a god whose anger destroyed all of the inhabitants of the earth (supposedly), and in one split of a second almost killed all Israelites and tempted Moses to start over with his family. It looks to me, that your god is a schizo. He is love and he is so much hate. He forgives, and he kills all that disagreed with him. Tell me which is the god you want? Jesus actually went against the proper teaching of the law. I am not sure why if you want a perfect, holy and a just god, but the biblical image of god is anything, but. Can I find an honest christian out there that would read the entire bible and stop quoting John 3:16?? What made John 3:16 possible, was that god was about to destroy his entire creation. But god did not show up, and it has been that way for 2000 years…….
Where is wisdom? Where is understanding? Lets see, observed from one’s own confidence? Maybe trustworthy second hand knowledge? Or the wise ones who’s trust is in themselves, because there is no other source? Then, the humility because of one’s sins, who discovers they have no other recourse, than to put their trust in a God who supends the earth in orbit with such precision, that this wisdom goes beyond one’s existence.
Brittany Koper messed up.. YES, Her family is a mess..She needed 2 keep her mouth shut and not air her Grand Parents dirty stuff..She might be telling the truth on some matters but it should be dealt with Inside with Family, lawyers, Pastors Etc..I dont know what 2 believe.. Many Older people dont sleep 2gether as they age so paul and Jan probably need their space away from each other ..I doubt Les (jesus) is having a sexual relation with Jan(ish)…All this gossip is personal business..The Crouchs should B paid a large salary..Look at the work they did 4 years..They are CEO s.. Kudos to Britanny and her family. I had always thought that her dad, Paul Jr., was a decent man and his wife was not welcomed very much on the set. I recently watched Jan Crouch after ten years with Billy Graham’s son and was shocked to see her make-up and hairdo. I wondered how in the world Franklin Graham is compromising his position for pot of lentils.
Today, I watched the video of Britanny and believe that she is a God sent watchman to save the network. It should be in the hands of the few righteous like Noah and his family. My prayers revealed a lot about Jan, Paul Sr., and Matt. I am not surprised about Jan’s wickedness and evil behavior with the man who is acting out as Jesus in Florida. These men were opportunist and Jan was feeding into their dreams.
I hope that TBN is not a Free Mason built enterprise to deceive the people in the last days. The satellites are for a different reasons to usher in the new world order Anti-Christ. In the book of Philipians, Apostle Paul warned that their deeds will be judged one day but not to stop people from getting saved (paraphrase).
My prayers are with Britanny and family. May you be sincere until the end.

The Bible’s God is absent from TBN, etc, because He was falsely co-opted, never invited. TBN’s business is burying God, not praising Him. It is they who should be embarrassed, but they make quite a production out of proving they’re beyond that. They have no fear of lying about God or doing all kinds of evil against Him, in His name (fear of God is a _bad_ thing, right?). They are a false flag attack on Jesus Christ. People, please believe God, not these liars.
