Canadian Christian filmmaker Paul Lalonde has big news that has just moved on Charisma News.

He’s planning a remake of his company’s first Left Behind film, made a few years ago, and says that Nicolas Cage is set to star.

I’d like a confirmation from, say Variety, but what Lalonde shared is at the link if you are curious.

Not like a god. More like a handmaiden. I believe Him.

  2. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Hear Brano, write something instead of quoting these folks. Drink some beer, will you? Susan, you have some ability to theologize. Let me encourage you throw away your god and be one. Be God. Worship yourself and let God worship you.

  3. Susan says:

The journey on the narrow bridge tested her ability to hold on. She had to be careful how she chose her footing for the bridge did not afford room for mistakes. She grew tired and hungry. Yet she relied on God to keep her strong. Finally she makes it to the end, only to have a gust of wind knock her down. Holding on for dear life and pulling herself up with all her might, she plants her feet firmly on a solid rock. The air clean and crisp, renews her spirit. She closed her eyes and breaths deep, then lets out a sigh. She made it.

  4. Brano says:

Oh mr chung ,don,t get your girdle in a knot….Relax,breath..enjoy this wonderful life.
    Are you the moderator now?

  5. The Lord Ben Chung says:

The bridge is an illusion. Why the dust? Step onto firm ground, use your own reason, trust in your own senses, and this human community, for we created gods in our image and after our likeness. Like your own desire for your children, you desire God, the goodness, the lofty thing. But in the mist, you cannot see beyond your own fog, your own figment, your god. With courage and reason, come out of this mire and trust your own sense. These foreign gods are nothing but Jewish fables and myths. Come to be a true human, be reasonable, courageous, and come worship God, that is, God in you, let all others gods worship you. This is the teaching of the Lord, the Lord Ben Chung.

  6. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Brano, diapers. All you need is diapers.

  7. Brano says:

…Were did all the atheists go???

  8. The Lord Ben Chung says:

It’s in the wind, blowing in the wind. But fundies need diapers. It’s in the diapers.

  9. Susan says:

I think anyone caught off guard with one of these may need diapers. It’s what follows one of these that could be of concern.

  10. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Ancient Daoist Master was asked about Dao, and where is it, he replied, it is in the urine. It is on the dung. Amen. My reply to the Fundies about the presence of God, it is similar, it is in the urine, it is on the dung, and over the diaper.

  11. Susan says:

    Ben Dung has spoken.

    Just kidding :)

  12. The Lord Ben Chung says:

The Lord Ben Chung debunks fundungmentalism, Susan. Get with it, :)

  13. Brano says:

mr chung, your last comment is very discriminatory!?
    feel the love…it’s ok dood

  14. Susan says:

    Ben the dungbunker. B O N G!
    :)

  15. The Lord Ben Chung says:

But Rabshakeh said to them, “Has my master sent me to your master, and to you, to speak these words? has he not sent me to the men which sit on the wall, that they may eat their own dung, and drink their own urine with you?”

The walls of fundamentalism is about to fall, and many sit on the wall and watch. Majority of modern scholars and those left because of intellectual honesty- they say these words to you who hold these ridiculous left behind theory. Are you doing what is Rabshakeh saying here.

  16. Susan says:

All the knowledge one can muster up about the Bible will not make one a partner with God. His word reaches out with a synergy to work together. Someone can have great knowledge of God’s word and another very little. It does not matter. It’s about being His disciple.

Such a long track record with God’s word. We are human and with weaknesses. You can see that all thoughout the Bible. Each era with it’s religous reforms. Yet, there are those that had a partnership with God. They chose to pray, serve, share and go into the world.

There are so many symbols in the Bible that represents the antichrist. The metaphors in scripture. The descriptions of turmoil. Revelations ties the OT into it’s prophetic. I suppose seeing this on the large screen, that people would flock to see it. Look how long God’s word has progressed. Now with very talented people involved, they will probably make a movie about it. Bottomline, with God it’s about a relationship.

  17. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Susan, you must be a beautiful human being, but what you wrote above is purely crap. You mention a relationship with God, that too, is crap. It cherry picks and chooses anything you want to choose, but spits out the gnat. It swallows the whole camel alive, but you stand by the irreverence of left behind, This theory is repugnant in the sight of your god! It is a new theory, a modern reading when Darby strings beans teogther and the Hal Lindsey started to propagate this myth, which he said was 1988, and took himself outof the game. Then it was 1999, then 2000, then May/Oct/2011. Then You did have Millerism, then JW’s prediction. None of it is true or faithful to the words of your own god. You cook this up and ignore the rest. I am a fundamentalist that is faithful to what is said, it is justI no longer think it is historical true. It is theological true, but you have to cook it. Face it, Jesus taught everything of the KLingdom of God will be realize in his generation, have you not read it in the gospels? Like the new shoot, in the spring time. Or Paul in Thessalonians, about we who are alive will be caught up in the air, that was 2000 years ago and Paul was serious about the coming. It never happened, so people asked, ‘Where is the promise of his coming.’ Look, that was for his time and his time along, not for you and Lindsay to make a fool out of yourselves. The words of your god is confusing, contradictory, and murderous, as if Paul was breathing these murderous thoughts in Acts.

Look to it and repent, and stop confusing others in films and novels. Making money is not the kingdom of God. Giving it freely away may be. Challenge yourself and see what you have done for the poor and the environment and for your poor neighbours down the street. What do you do for the victims of Sandy. These purely theological conjecture is a joke, and crap and nothing more. Repent, for the Kingdom is at hand…..did he not say that many years ago?

  18. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Let me exegetically explain your thoughts on this matter:

“There are so many symbols in the Bible that represents the antichrist. The metaphors in scripture. The descriptions of turmoil. Revelations ties the OT into it’s prophetic. I suppose seeing this on the large screen, that people would flock to see it. Look how long God’s word has progressed. Now with very talented people involved, they will probably make a movie about it. Bottomline, with God it’s about a relationship.”

-there are rare incidences where ‘anti-christ’ appear in the scriptures. In fact, very little is true. In the book of Daniel, there are currently many scholars in the mainstream who believe that Daniel has two or three authors, and is composed by later authors esp. touching the prophecies. The son of man and the desecration of the temple belong to such possibly composed by forgeries to mask their apocalyptic views that they are hopelessly outnumbered and they need God to intervene (ie. to kill off all their enemies). This is mainstream scholarly views, except the dead theological and deafened fundamentalists who would not listen. If these passages contain words borrow from later era (ie Persian and Aramaic), then if supposedly Jesus quote this, that makes him both deceived and ignorant. Look, Jesus has been dead for 2000 years, his body rotted and bones scattered. It makes no sense to speak of a living saviour, except a theological saviour that fits your own figment of your imagination.

Of a dead Jesus, how can you have a relationship with a dead person? Is this a medium, seyance, whatever nonsense. If you deceived many with false information and make money on this, does that make you a righteous person, and if there were a god, could he bless such a forgery of his will??

“Yet, there are those that had a partnership with God. They chose to pray, serve, share and go into the world.”

-of such, Jesus did mention how they go all over, and deceive many. They make disciples of there poor and stupid simpletons, take their money and virginity. We have such at Prairie Bible Institute, who rallied many to this cause of the end times, deceived them, and fuck them, little boys and girls. God has not stop many of these predators, including those who fuck others minds like the dead Old LE Maxwell. I do not think spreading the good news that is forged, and copied by intentional deceptive monks and scribes can be the words of god. Listen, you will probably not listen and see and you will not see. Lest you turn and believe what I have just told you about the bible. Many of these words of the NT are forgeries, and the OT have intentionally changed their contents to make it fit. How can that be the words of god who failed to stop that? The portions of Yeweh is Israel, and his allotment is the Israelites. The key word changed from the Dead Sea Scroll is ‘the sons of El’ to ‘sons of Israel’ thereby masked the council of El, and his sons, and one which is Yeweh. It is all about ancient Canaanite myth, of a god called El, and his sons, and he has a wife called Ashurah.

Susa, repent of this left Behind crap and believe in the gospel. Amen.

  20. The Lord Ben Chung says:

And the Lord Ben Chung says, AH! AH HA!!

  21. Susan says:

The Word of God, for me, is like a long hallway. When I look to the left and right, all I see is infinity. So many doors to choose from in this hallway. How do you choose with so many doors? I wait and once again rely on God’s Word to knock on my door. The prophetic in the natural and mysterious both reaches into my heart. That can hurt sometimes, because it’s hard to understand. Certainly God’s Word will require a deeper understanding. There are those infinite doors again. Other times I discover how the Word opens some of the doors at just the right time. I know this is not the theological answer you want. To me that’s infinity in a sense.

I have an elderly friend in his 80′s. It will be a year this coming January, that he lost his wife of 66 years. He lost his daughter to cancer. He is a retired pastor. He was one of my doors yesterday. I believe that moment was ment just for me. Something he said and the way he smiled at me, made me smile. Sometimes things can just make your day.

  22. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Susan, I was raised a fundamentalist, and I memorised this much much more as a child, I also know biblical Hebrew, and some Syriac. My strength is in the biblical texts. I do not think you can out do me in this department. That being said, I have learned from personal tragedy and suffering to regard the absence of God in all human affairs, and the further I learn from others, the less likely I see the finger of God, almost like the third finger of God mocking us all.

That being said, you are on a theological and personal journey that is fine with me. But the message you propagate damns many and damages others by your assertion of a god who is there and the final end where all would be burnt up. All this is a fantasy land and none of this is true, since it failed the first generation of the Christians, and even Jesus died unnecessarily for something he was deceived from the forgeries of the book of Daniel. None of these end time fansies are true. I hope you can keep this note to your self, hum it, quietly but do not deceive others in this light. I came from a Reformed Tradition that would damn you for asserting such, and a Calvin who would have hung you for teaching such. Remember this.

  23. Susan says:

I am amazed how the book of Revelation culminated Genesis to Malachi in it’s 22 chapters. The OT is filled with the prophecies. It’s amazing that Israel survives. That tiny strip of land among some giants. Yet her pulse continues to beat strong. That I do see. I don’t see a middle finger anywhere.

  24. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Susan, the third finger of god is in the mockery of humanity, in the mockery why they suffer and will be entirely wiped out at the Apocalyptic event. Except this was predicted by Jesus and St Paul, but it never happened in their life time. Surely you know that Jesus was an apocalyptic Jew? He was killed for this apocalyptic idea that god will bring about the end, in his life time, and he was accidentally killed and eventually made a god in this chronology, in the sense, his followers made him god which is a blasphemy.

Your Revelation is not to be taken literally, it is a fantasy, like all other apocalyptic literature from 100 BCE to 200 CE. Surely you do not believe the Jesus in Apocalypse is the same Jesus of Mathew Mark and Luke? He kills so many and it casts him as a bloody god, that is another finger I find in the reading. Bloody, arrogant, and murderous, and bent on killing innocent humans. Why do you need a tale like that to be a god christian?

  25. Susan says:

Isaiah 6:1-7, Ezekial 1:5-28 and Revelation chapter 4, these are all relative. They have obvious comparisons. Yet each of the prophetic images don’t correspond on the timeline. Because of these images and the succession of them through time, we have the Spirit of Prophecy in action. Jonathan touched on what I can see about history and the timeline. So here we are, with those deeper meanings. Like the wheels, multiple eyes, etc. For a few years I’ve pondered on the meaning. For me, it’s reads like a clock that ticks. Yet this clock, if you will, tells of events in time. The eyes are watching the time. Lots of eyes there.

I think it’s the index finger you see. You know, the one that points when giving directions.

  26. The Lord Ben Chung says:

“]If a prophet, or one who foretells by dreams, appears among you and announces to you a sign or wonder, 2 and if the sign or wonder spoken of takes place, and the prophet says, “Let us follow other gods” (gods you have not known) “and let us worship them,” 3 you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The Lord your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul. 4 It is the Lord your God you must follow, and him you must revere. Keep his commands and obey him; serve him and hold fast to him. 5 That prophet or dreamer must be put to death for inciting rebellion against the Lord your God, who brought you out of Egypt and redeemed you from the land of slavery. That prophet or dreamer tried to turn you from the way the Lord your God commanded you to follow. You must purge the evil from among you.” Deut 13:1-5.

You folks say anything false about the future, watch out, cause this is the biblical mandate to put to death false prophets. That finger that points the way, pardon me, is the third finger. See this for yourself, lady!

  27. Susan says:

Where is that false prophet? I want to see him. That ole trouble maker. I’ll give them a piece of my mind. It’s not me!

  28. Brano says:

    a nasty little accusation,
mr chung, let us not go back to kindergarden, and build a theology out of one scripture
    …ok friendo

  29. The Lord Ben Chung says:

Hal Lindsey, and Damnable John Darby. Thanks all. Froddo ismy favorite, Bano.

  30. Susan says:

    Ok grasshopper.

  31. Brano says:

    Froddo…kinda says it all
