I’m a great believer in people having fun with their faith, but now Robert Grasseschi is reportedly being, well, a little different.
A few days ago, wife Faytene Grasseschi put this update on her Facebook wall:
Faytene Grasseschi
My husband is singing in tongues to the tune of “On The Road Again”…..wow. That should release some grace for the next leg! Going north, then south, then west. I love Canada.
I’m glad that Faytene and her friends are having a bit of fun with this.
But I do wonder…I do not have the gift, but I am led to understand that when you speak in tongues, the Holy Spirit both controls what you say and how you say it. Unless the Holy Spirit is a big Willie Nelson fan [
], I wonder how you could leave yourself open to saying what God wants you to, while you yourself direct how it is said.
Anyways, I would like to make a note of it as one of those things that may raise your eyebrow or makes you go “hmm”. At least he’s not typing in tongues on, as US evangelist Juanita Bynum allegedly did in Facebook a couple of weeks ago. People had a lot to say about that.
If Robert is not treating the gift appropriately (and I want to be fair and do not want to say that that is the case), we can be grateful that he isn’t a fan of early 60s music as I am.
Well, may Robert progress in the gift if he really has it.

Half of Canadians believe religion is a bad thing. Guess Brano gets left behind at the water trough. LMFAO.
LOL…I think religion is a bad thing!…LOL
RELIGION keeps us from God instead of bringing us closer to Him.(Matthew 23;13-33) In other words, these “leaders” are causing people to fall further away from Jesus while attending church services regularly. Jesus tells them exactly how he feels about them in the verses above. We would like you to put yourself in Jesus’ sandals for a second if you would. He didn’t go through what He went through for a religion. He was whipped repeatedly, stoned heavily, spit on,had his skull thorned, and was hung on a cross by hands and feet literally nailed to it. Sounds to me like He may have been looking for relationship rather than a religion. Sounds like He’s looking for Love.
Okay. So I’m thinking like a Christian again….Ever think that maybe these “leaders” are the instrument god uses to separate the wheat from the chaff. You know, keep the chosen, doff the rest of the posers! Maybe you’re interfering with god’s plan to gather his remnant brano. Kinda like Peter not wanting Jesus to be taken away by the Roman guard. Maybe you aren’t one of them “true” Christians and don’t really “know” god’s heart and his plan. That would make you his “enemy”. (And remember, in the same chapter you just mentioned, Jesus told the people to obey the teachers of the law, ie. the religious leaders of the day.)
….Horrible Theology!
Brano …
Please elaborate with your wonderful theology!
Does an absolutely perfect God need anything? Yet God seems to fall short on love.
But being in need of something implies a lack. And lack proves imperfection. What can a completely perfect deity possibly gain from us?
You alone would spoil his perfection.
And why must we serve God? What can our service and love do to God? What then is the purpose of God “looking for love”?
….I was indulging in a fabulous 1985 Cabernet last nite, and I found this tidbite most interesting…..http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencetech/article-2039690/Atheism-autism-Controversial-new-study-points-link-two.html
Can we move on to Theology 201 now?
Fair enough Brano
Here’s one for you…

*yawn*
….A True Christian is always willing to die for His/Her FAITH…Iranian Pastor Youcef Nadarkhani, who is facing the death penalty, again refused to convert to Islam to save his life.
Nadarkhani was arrested in 2009 for the crime of apostasy because he allegedly abandoned Islam for Christianity. As a pastor, Iranian clerics believe that Nadarkhani was preaching in order to convert Muslims.
I don,t hear of many “others” willing to do so?
Hmmmm????
