I hope that the ladies gathering in Calgary later this week for the Women on the Frontlines Christian conference are on guard.
For several reasons…but the one that comes most readily to mind is that Gwen Shaw is a featured guest.
Faytene Grasseschi has been working on a video tribute to the controversial Shaw. [If memory serves, back a couple of months ago, the former Faytene Kryskow had told listeners at a conference of hers that Shaw had felt compelled to rearrange her schedule to be able to attend this upcoming conference.]
What gives pause about Mrs. Shaw? Mark Scheiderer offers a online report in which he fears that she is heretical, and practices a form of necromancy.
If his criticisms have merit–and I suspect that they do–the fact that this lady is to be lionized at the conference is a bit scary…
Another poster sees her as being prey to “New Age” mysticism…
Oh, and she reportedly said that Ronald Reagan was to be the last President of the U.S. before the return of Christ too.
I would have to say that New Age mysticism and the NAR are bed fellows
I see Shaw’s cult (and I use cult in the full theological, psychological and sociological definitions) is still active in Canada.

I see Kenny Blacksmith was a featured speaker at Shaw’s 2011 convention.
I don’t understand how these so called Canadian leaders can be so naive.
Blacksmith had a heart attack Sept. 18th, his life was saved, his heart is damaged; operating at about 30%.
The cost of the webstream for this conference was/is $27 dollars. These conferences are quite the money grab.

Taking magical thinking to the level of absurd.
It is being held at Southside Victory in Calgary. A really scary place from what I hear!
So if they are having so much revival at Southside Victory, should not their church be overflowing with new beleivers?
Considering Pat Cockking wil be there aswell…….Who knows what will happen!
I am sure that many will be “Influenced” at this conference,In a dark way that is!
It has all the makings of pushing the NAR further along its not so happy way
